Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Filters are implanted by surgeons in the veins of patients who cannot take blood thinners. The IVC Blood Filters prevent blood clots from moving to the lungs where the blood clots could be fatal. Unfortunately, the IVC Blood Filters have numerous adverse reports of complications of breaking and migrating. The broken or migrating IVC Blood Filters have caused punctured organs, punctured blood vessels, and other serious and sometimes fatal complications from migrating to different parts of the body.
